Ted with the Great White Buffalo guitar

“Rich, thick, edgy, greazy, sexy, pure animal breeding Ted Nugent guitar tone as perfected by more than 60 legendary years of status quo obliterating soulful tone pioneering is now available to the civilian public. Mad scientist and master pickup winder luthier Bob Mizek has tortured himself all these years in his dungeon sound lab to create the most authoritative guitar pickup ever. (If any of this confuses you, stock pickups were made for you. Stop where you are.)

Celebrate your own Ted Nugent Sonic Baptizm with the greatest most asskicking guitar tone of your life.”

—Ted Nugent

Roberts Guitar Pickups is pleased to endorse LA Retro Rocker Alex Cole.

I had the pleasure of hearing Alex’s music for the first time in late 2016 and knew immediately that I wanted him playing his music with my pickups. When I finally got to meet him in person at the 2017 NAMM Show I recognized that Alex is a true artist with the soul and great personal character that matches his amazing talent.

Fans of some of the amazing rock music from the 70’s and beyond sometimes say “They don’t write them like that anymore” and they’re wrong! Alex’s original music and live performances pick up where many of the great legends left off. Great vocals, guitar solos, and lyrics combine for great listening and exciting live performances that do not disappoint.

Alex’s Gibson ES-137 is equipped with matched NUGE Sonic Baptizm pickups which give him the full range of tone from clean, to vintage crunch, to all out smoking mayhem. Follow Alex on Facebook.

Limited Production NUGE SONIC BAPTIZM PAF-plus Humbucker Pickup Set - own your own piece of Rock and Roll history!

Now you can own the same pickups that Ted Nugent has in his legendary Gibson Great White Buffalo Byrdland during his current SONIC BAPTIZM Tour. I’m making a Limited Production Run and offering matched sets of Neck and Bridge pickups for only $350 per set or individual neck or bridge pickups for only $180 each.

These pickups fit most any electric guitar that already has an existing humbucker pickup and can be easily installed by a guitar tech. You don’t need a Byrdland like Ted’s to enjoy great tone! They can transform the tone of your existing guitar and fit many Squire, Epiphone, Dean, Cort, Mitchell, EXP, Hamer, Ibanez, PRS Schecter, Jackson, Charvel Fender, and Gibson guitars. Wonder if it will fit? Send me an e-mail and I’ll give you a fast and honest answer.

Ted’s signature sound is known around the world for high notes that cut through while maintaining a full-bodied low end and my pickups deliver that and even more. Each NUGE SONIC BAPTIZM pickup coil is wound by me personally using a combination of computer controlled precision and repeatability, and proprietary winding patterns that make the difference between these pickups and what is made by large companies. Unlike hand-wound pickups that can sometime sound terrific but can also be inconsistent pickup to pickup, Roberts Guitar pickups have consistent impedance and deliver tone that is second to none. Each pickup is hand assembled, tested to make sure that it's perfect, and identified whether it has been made for the “Bridge” position or “Neck” position. I don't make them fast but I do make them right!

Albums like “Cat Scratch Fever” were recorded by Ted with his trusty 1961 Brydland that had “Patent Applied For” humbucker pickups that were designed by electronics genius “Seth Lover” and made by Gibson from the late 1950s through the early 1960s. History tells us that Gibson continually refined its manufacturing process during this period and tried different combinations of wiring patterns and magnets that resulted in a number of wonderful yet different tones. One of those combinations is what I’ve tried to duplicate with the limited production NUGE SONIC BAPTIZM “PAF-plus” Humbucker Pickup Set.

Each pickup comes uncovered with “Zebra” black and white bobbins with 12" long two conductor braided shielded leads.
